Candice Swanepoel reveals Marilyn Monroe transformation

1-Victoria’s Secret angel Candice Swanepoel is usually causing jaws to drop on the catwalk with her striking natural beauty and toned figure, however on Thursday she showcased her supermodel credentials with a full make-up transformation.The South African beauty paid tribute to Marilyn Monroe, one of both Hollywood and fashion’s biggest icons.

It could have been Marilyn herself in the photo which Candice, 26, shared on her Instagram account, with her long wavy locks turned peroxide blonde and styled into Marilyn’s iconic curls

2-A statement red lipstick and flawless black winged eyeliner finished off Candice’s old Hollywood look, and she can be seen sporting a white halternecked ensemble, a nod to Marilyn’s iconic scene in The Seven Year Itch.

“Through my work with @maxfactor I’m lucky to be able to transform through makeup,” Candice captioned the image. “Here @patmcgrathreal and @shayashual transformed me into Marilyn.”

“Fact is Mr max factor was originally responsible for making Norma Jean into Marilyn all those years ago,” she added. “It’s the perfect time of year to give yourself a dramatic new look or be more adventurous with your makeup. #glamjan.”

Candice’s dramatic transformation is part of Max Factor’s #GlamJan campaign, which has already seen stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow unveiling their drastic make-up transformations.

It comes as no surprise that Candice chose to pay tribute to Marilyn Monroe, asthe iconic blonde bombshell was revealed as the cosmetics giant’s Global Glamour Ambassador earlier this month, more than half a century after her tragic death.

3-“Through expert diagnosis and make-up artistry, Norma Jean’s facial features were pulled out and dramatised through make-up,” said Pat McGrath, Max Factor’s Global Creative Design Director.

“Her skin was creamy and flawless, the shape of her eyes was elongated through clever use of eyeliner and her lips were accentuated with a sultry red shade, becoming the key focal point of the entire look.”
