Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), who performs under the stage name Pink, or P!nk, is a two-time Grammy-winning American actress and singer-songwriter who gained prominence in 2000, has had continued success around the world, and to date has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. She released her first single “There You Go” and first album, the R&B-oriented Can’t Take Me Home, in 2000 via LaFace Records, which garnered commercial success. Although at the begining of her career she was just seen as another face in the pop music scene, she has stood the test of time and is now being more widley recognized for her rich, powerful contralto vocals.
